Accommodation: The giraffe hills Mara camp was amazing. The host are really very kind(Mzee, Diana and the whole equipe)☺️... Bless their soul. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean... The breakfast and dinner was on time and delicious... We even had a bonfire. Our tour guide: Cephas is the best tour guide and driver I've ever meet. He made our safari most memorable. He really has a heart of gold,he is very kind and will go beyond to make sure we see all the animals... He's just a 10/10... Also we had a great group all together. Morning. Coach from campus to Hell's Gate, about 2 hours from Nairobi. Collect bikes at the gate and ride past Fischer's Tower with zebras and buffalo along the road.

Do students need ID for the student rate?

Yes. Each student should carry a valid student ID. Without it the park may charge the normal citizen fee.

What is the best time of year?

Dry months from June to October and January to March. The gorge can close when heavy rain is expected.

How fit do students need to be?

The bike ride is mostly flat and about 8 km each way. The gorge walk has some scrambling. Anyone can walk instead of cycling.

Can the group be smaller than 30?

Yes, but the price per student rises because the coach cost is shared by fewer people. A minibus is used for smaller groups.

What other students getaway Kenya ideas work?

Lake Nakuru, Ndunda Falls in Embu and Ol Pejeta all work as one day or one night trips.

What should students pack?

Closed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, two litres of water and a light jacket for the ride home.
