Questions people ask

How fit do I need to be?

Good fitness. You walk 5 to 8 hours a day. Regular hikes in the weeks before make a big difference.

Will I get altitude sickness?

Some people get headaches above 4,000 m. Walk slowly, drink water and tell your guide early. The route gives time to adjust.

When is the best time to climb?

January to February and July to October are the driest months. Avoid April, May and November.

What should I pack?

Warm layers, a down jacket, gloves, a headtorch, sturdy boots and a rain shell. Summit morning is below freezing.
