Day 2. Morning boat ride on Lake Baringo. See hippos, crocodiles and a fish eagle catch a fish. Afternoon drive to Lake Bogoria for the hot springs, geysers and flamingos.

Day 3. Early birding walk with a local guide. Breakfast, then the drive back to Nairobi.

Yes. Baringo and Bogoria are low and dry. Pack light cotton clothes, a hat and plenty of sunscreen.

Are flamingos at Bogoria all year?

Not always. Flocks move between Rift Valley lakes. Your guide checks the latest sightings.

Is the hot spring water safe to touch?

No. It can be close to boiling. Stay on the marked paths and follow your guide.

How many birds can I see?

Over 450 species have been recorded at Baringo. Keen birders often tick 100 in a day.
