Questions people ask
When is the best time for this?
July to October for the migration, though rates are higher. January to March is cheaper and still dry.
What should I pack?
A warm jacket, head torch, small daypack and sunscreen.
Are park fees included?
Yes. Both park fees are included. Park fees are the biggest cost in any safari, which is why budget trips cannot go much lower.
How far are the parks?
The Mara is about five to six hours from Nairobi. Nakuru is about three hours.
Can children come?
Yes, but shared trips suit adults and teens best.
How do affordable Kenya safari packages differ from mid range ones?
You share the vehicle and stay in simpler camps. The parks and animals are the same.
