When is whale shark season Kenya?

Roughly October to March, with the best odds from November to February. Sightings are likely but never guaranteed.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a rash vest, reef safe sunscreen, a towel and seasickness tablets if you need them.

Are fees included?

How long is the boat ride?

Search time varies. Most trips spend 2 to 4 hours on the water. Pickup is 10 to 20 minutes from Diani hotels.

Is it safe and can children come?

Whale sharks eat plankton and are harmless to people. Swimmers need to be confident in deep water. Children from about 10 who swim well are welcome.
