Accommodation: The giraffe hills Mara camp was amazing. The host are really very kind(Mzee, Diana and the whole equipe)☺️... Bless their soul. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean... The breakfast and dinner was on time and delicious... We even had a bonfire. Our tour guide: Cephas is the best tour guide and driver I've ever meet. He made our safari most memorable. Morning. Pickup in Watamu and a short drive to the snake farm. A keeper walks you through the enclosures and explains venom, first aid and why snakes matter.

Midday. Drive to the Mida Creek boardwalk for mangroves and wading birds. Cold drinks at a local stop.

Is it safe for children?

Yes. Snakes stay behind glass or in a trained keeper's hands. Children only hold harmless species if they want to.

How far is the snake farm from Watamu town?

It sits on the main Watamu road, about 10 minutes from most hotels.

Can I see snake milking?

Venom extraction is not a daily show. Ask in advance and the keeper will tell you what is planned for your date.

What else is on this Watamu nature tour?

Mida Creek mangroves and a short forest edge walk. You can swap in Gede Ruins if you prefer history.

What should I wear?

Closed shoes for the boardwalk, light clothes, a hat and insect repellent.
