Accommodation: The giraffe hills Mara camp was amazing. The host are really very kind(Mzee, Diana and the whole equipe)☺️... Bless their soul. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean... The breakfast and dinner was on time and delicious... We even had a bonfire. Our tour guide: Cephas is the best tour guide and driver I've ever meet. He made our safari most memorable. He really has a heart of gold,he is very kind and will go beyond to make sure we see all the animals... He's just a 10/10... Also we had a great group all together. When is the best time for a school camp Mara trip?

July to October gives the migration. Term dates often decide. The Mara is good all year.

What should students pack?

Warm sweater, closed shoes, a water bottle, notebook and a torch. Bright colours are fine but neutral is better on drives.

Are park fees included?

Yes, at Kenyan citizen student rates. The school needs to send an official letter so the rate applies.

How far is it?

About 270 km from Nairobi, which is five to six hours by bus with stops.

What is the age policy?

Ideal for students from about Class 5 and up. Teachers travel with the group and share tents near the students.

Nairobi National Park is a cheap day trip. The Mara gives far more wildlife and an overnight experience that students remember.
