Accommodation: The giraffe hills Mara camp was amazing. The host are really very kind(Mzee, Diana and the whole equipe)☺️... Bless their soul. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean... The breakfast and dinner was on time and delicious... We even had a bonfire. Our tour guide: Cephas is the best tour guide and driver I've ever meet. He made our safari most memorable. He really has a heart of gold,he is very kind and will go beyond to make sure we see all the animals... He's just a 10/10... Also we had a great group all together. About 150 km, roughly 2.5 hours each way on a good tarmac road.

What is the reserve fee?

Samburu charges about USD 85 per non resident adult per day. It is included in your price.

Is a Samburu one day trip worth it?

Yes if you are short on time. You get about 5 hours of game viewing.

Is this the same as a Buffalo Springs day tour?

It covers both. The two reserves face each other across the river and the drive moves between them.

What animals can I see?

Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx, plus elephants and lions.

What should I bring?
