Day 1. Drive from Nairobi via Narok, about 5 to 6 hours. Evening drive near Talek.

Day 2. Full day on the central plains with a picnic lunch.

Day 3. Morning drive along the Talek River for cheetahs and lions. Afternoon at camp, evening drive.

Day 4. Cross the Mara River into the Triangle. Afternoon below the Oloololo Escarpment.

Day 5. Full day in the Mara Triangle, from the river to the Tanzania border.

Day 6. Sunrise drive and the drive back to Nairobi, or a flight from a Triangle airstrip.

Not for wildlife lovers. You see behaviour, not just animals. You can also wait at sightings.

What is the Mara Triangle?

The western part of the reserve, run by a conservation company. It is quieter with fewer vehicles.

When is the best season?

July to October for the migration. January to March for quiet drives and lower fees.

Are all fees included?

Yes. The main reserve and the Triangle each issue their own tickets. Your quote shows both.

Can children come?

Yes. A private vehicle and midday rest at camp help a lot with kids.

How does it compare to the 4 day Mara safari?
