Day 1. Drive from Nairobi to the Masai Mara. Lunch at camp and an evening game drive.

Which months suit both the Mara and Diani?

June to October and December to March. Long rains in April and May make the coast humid and wet.

Can I take the train to the coast instead?

Yes. The SGR runs from Nairobi to Mombasa in about 5 to 6 hours, then a road transfer to Diani. It lowers the price.

How long is the flight from Nairobi to Diani?

About 1 hour 15 minutes into Ukunda airstrip, which is 10 minutes from most resorts.

Can I swap the beach for Zanzibar?

Yes. Lujui Kenya Travels can quote Zanzibar instead, though flights cost a bit more.
