Yes, if you accept some rain. Roads can get muddy but the plains are green and quiet.

Is this calving season?

The main wildebeest calving happens in the Serengeti in Tanzania around February. The Mara keeps its resident cats and herds.

Non resident reserve fees are about USD 100 per adult per day from January to June compared with USD 200 from July to December.

How long is the drive?

About 5 to 6 hours. Allow extra time after heavy rain.
