Day 1. Arrive in Nairobi. Afternoon birding in Nairobi National Park.

Day 2. Drive to Lake Naivasha. Boat ride for fish eagles, kingfishers and herons.

Day 3. Lake Nakuru National Park for flamingos, pelicans and grassland birds.

Day 4. Drive to Lake Bogoria. See the hot springs and flamingo flocks. Continue to Lake Baringo.

Day 5. Full day at Lake Baringo with a local bird guide. Boat trip and a walk along the cliffs for owls and nightjars.

Day 6. Drive back south via Thomson's Falls. Night near Nairobi.

Day 7. Early birding at a Nairobi forest spot, then transfer to the airport.

Are flamingos always at Nakuru?

Numbers change with water levels. Bogoria and Nakuru together give good odds.
