Day 1. Drive north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, about 3 to 4 hours. Afternoon game drive and a stop at the chimpanzee sanctuary.

Day 2. Morning in Ol Pejeta, home to the last two northern white rhinos. Drive to Lake Nakuru for an evening drive.

Day 3. Early drive in Lake Nakuru for black and white rhinos. Continue to the Masai Mara.

Day 4. Full day in the Mara for lions, leopards, elephants and buffalo.

Day 5. Sunrise game drive, then back to Nairobi in the afternoon.

Will I really see all Big Five?

No one can promise wildlife. This route gives strong odds. Leopard is the hardest to find.

Can I fly back from the Mara?

Yes. A flight to Wilson takes about 45 minutes and saves around 5 hours on the road.

Is there a lot of driving?

Yes. Day 3 is the longest, about 6 hours with stops. Other days are shorter.

When is the best time?

Dry months from June to October and January to February. Animals gather near water.
