Il Ngwesi is a community conservancy in Laikipia, north of Lewa, owned by the local Maasai. Lujui Kenya Travels books two nights at Il Ngwesi Lodge, subject to availability, arranged on request, with walks, drives and time with the community.

The community built it and runs it, with open rooms on a ridge and a pool over the bush. Profits go back to conservation and local projects.

What wildlife can I see?

Elephants, giraffe, Grevy's zebra, buffalo and many antelope. Predators pass through the wider Laikipia landscape.
